About Schloss Rodeck

Rodeck Castle (Schlosst Rodeck), located in Baden-Württemberg, southwestern Germany, was built in the thirteenth century and has a history of more than 800 years. The first owner of the castle was the noble Lord Land von Rodeck, and Johann Rudolf von Neuenstein, a famous alchemist, also owned it. Despite the vicissitudes of life, the castle still retains its strong medieval characteristics, with a simple and solemn appearance, elegant and bright interiors, full of dignity and kingly style. The castle is a national historical relic protected building in Germany, and it is also a proud spiritual symbol of the locals. The town where the castle is located (Kappel Rodeck) is named after the castle and is currently one of the most famous wine towns in Germany.
